The absolutely stunning pub in Essex overlooking the river, perfect for the holidays

This charming seaside town has long been one of the most convenient places to go for a change of scenery and time out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Essex. There are some great places in this historic part to eat, drink and relax with family and friends.

The Peterboat in Old Leigh is one of them. As one of the “top restaurants and pubs in Leigh-on-Sea and Essex”, according to its website, it prides itself on having a relaxed and friendly atmosphere surrounded by “estuary views”, while offering a varied menu offers with a special focus. on fish dishes.

The Peterboat is a lovely restaurant and with beautiful views of old Leigh. The food was so well cooked and the menu so well thought out for everyone’s needs. And ‘Tommy90’ wrote for their TripAdvisor review: “Our waiter Angela made our evening wonderful, from her service to being so attentive and considerate. Above and beyond in every way! It was our first night out since we had our first baby and she made it so special! We asked to sit next to the band, and she made that happen, so much so that we got to see the entire band performance. The food was amazing… and Angela made it a very special first night out of. .. Thank you!”

Kari Lyn M wrote: “We sat at the table with six adults on Friday evening and can honestly say that the staff went out of their way to make my great aunt’s 90th birthday so special for her. Angela, our server, took extra special care to my aunt and called her by name all evening, to make sure she was pampered and cared for, even though Angela had a whole section to look after (which I might add, the food was great, fish and chips cooked to perfection and the peterboat burger is not for the faint of heart although I did give it a good try as it was delicious I can’t recommend this place enough, I would recommend booking as it seems very popular.
