Lesego Chombo extends a helping hand to families with food donations

Botswana: Lesego Chombo Foundation has just donated food parcels to the grieving families in the district. Families in the district are mourning the loss of their loved ones who died in the Mmamatlakala bus accident more than a month ago.

The donation of food parcels is timely as the bodies of the deceased have been repatriated to Botswana. On May 4, the final farewell and mass funeral will take place for all deceased victims.

Their generous acts are a testament to how loving the people of Botswana are.

The Chairman of the Council appreciated the Chombo Foundation for the gesture. He also appreciated all the people who have supported the community during this difficult time

He further thanked Batswana for the cooperation they showed on the roads when the hearses were being transported from Gaborone to Molepolole.

Lesego Chombo indicated that the Foundation was touched by the tragedy. Accordingly, they were inspired to show sympathy and a sign of love through the food parcels.

District Commissioner Tebogo Bagopi assured the foundation that the food parcels will reach families in need. The donation will be made with the assistance of the Social & Community Development office.

She urged the Lesego Chombo Foundation to continue to demonstrate the spirit of togetherness across the country whenever the need arises. The bus accident happened when a group was traveling from Botswana to South Africa for the Easter pilgrimage.
