New Cajun restaurant Lil’ Easy will open in Austin in May

The group behind the Texan restaurant Sawyer & Co. and taco bar De Nada opens its newest restaurant dedicated to Louisianan Cajun food and drinks this month. Lil’ Easy Fine Cajun Food & Bar will open Tuesday, May 7 in the Govalle neighborhood at 5000 East Cesar Chavez Street.

As the name suggests, Lil’ Easy will focus on South Louisiana food and cocktails. This means an array of Cajun dishes such as char-grilled oysters, po’ boys, meat pies, jambalaya and more. And then for drinks, you can expect New Orleans-style cocktails like Hurricanes, frozen drinks and more.

Lil’ Easy’s final menu is still being worked on. Before this opening, the restaurant had been hosting pop-ups since earlier this year, including a Mardi Gras one and a crawfish boil. The logo is a cool alligator with sunglasses sitting at a table with a drink in hand.
