US announces charges in connection with a plan to evade sanctions against Venezuelan oil company

The U.S. Department of Justice on Monday announced the unsealing of an indictment against 10 people alleging a conspiracy to evade sanctions against Venezuelan state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela, or PDVSA, in connection with alleged activities between 2019 and 2021.

One in 10 were arrested in Miami last week, according to the Justice Department.
