Deadlines for tourism projects set | The Express Stand

PESHAWAR:

Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Tourism, Culture and Archaeology, has emphasized on urgent completion of tourism projects and achievement of 100% development targets.

He warned that the government will judge the performance of departments based on actual performance, and not just promises. Departments that fail to meet targets will face staffing and funding reductions, while successful departments will be supported.

During a meeting with Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) and Mansehra elites at Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad, Chanzeb underlined the need for progress in tourism initiatives.

KDA Director General Mohammad Shabbir reported on initiatives including the management of the Saiful Maluk Hotel and tourist facilities along the highway.

Chanzeb was informed about plans to reopen the Mansehra-Naran-Jhalkot (MNJ) road, which is usually closed during winters due to severe weather. He acknowledged progress but urged concrete steps for tourism development and better tourism facilities.

Chanzeb emphasized the importance of quality services, including clean toilets and drinking water along highways.
