Stephen Colbert Gives Trump and Stormy Daniels Their Celebrity Couple Name: ‘Stumpy’

It was only a matter of time before Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels got their own celebrity couple nickname, and Stephen Colbert has a good one.

“What we did get (during Daniels’ testimony) was a thorough retelling of their one night of passionate sex as Trump and Stormy became the celebrity couple Stumpy,” Colbert said Tuesday night. “I’m sorry, I forgot. He’s not supposed to describe his genitals.”

That aside related to a directive about Daniels’ testimony. While the adult film star was allowed to talk about sex with the former president and what the experience was like, a prosecutor said Daniels would not reveal “descriptions of genitals or anything like that,” which Judge Juan Merchan allowed.

When Colbert brought up the statement, he was loudly booed, making his audience laugh. “Stumpy” wasn’t Colbert’s only joke about Trump’s mess. During his opening monologue, the late-night host also said, “We want to hear about his tiny, tiny, that’s not polka dots linguini” and called his genitals “a leathery toiletry bag.”

The CBS late-night host also mocked Trump for his Truth Social post, in which he expressed surprise that Daniels would testify. “This is unprecedented, no time for lawyers to prepare,” Trump wrote in the post.

“Wait, did you just say there was no time to prepare? It didn’t occur to you and your lawyers that the hush money lawsuit against Stormy Daniels might involve an appearance by Stormy Daniels? Colbert said. “That’s like a chef at Burger King saying, ‘Oh my god, someone ordered a Whooper.’ What are we doing?'”

During her testimony, Daniels said she hit Trump “on the butt” with a rolled-up magazine and found him rude. The adult film star also said she asked about Trump’s wife and he said he and Melania did not sleep in the same room. When Daniels gave that bit of testimony, Trump was seen in court shaking his head and muttering “bulls-t” to his lawyers.

Although she has already been questioned for five hours, Daniels is expected to return to the stand on Thursday to face additional cross-examination by Trump’s lawyers.
