Obituary of Franco Piasentin
It is with pain in our hearts that we announce the death of Franco at the age of 80. A loving husband of 54 years to Noella (née Meret). Cherished and devoted father of Carla Guarasci, husband Sam and the late Sandro (1982). Proud Nonno of Frank, Miranda, Selena and Felicia. Predeceased by his parents Alessandro and Vittoria and in-laws Antonio and Iolanda Meret. Brother of Elisa Piasentin (2019), husband Remo Nadalin and Guido Piasentin. Dear brother-in-law of Anna Campanotto, husband Valter (2000), Sandra Jones (2019) and Jim Sheridan, and Franco Meret, wife Florinda. He will be remembered by many cousins ​​in Canada and Italy. Franco worked for Kelsey Hayes for 23 years and then at the Fogolar Furlan Club until his retirement. He was a member of the Fogolar Furlan Club and the Alpini and an avid Inter fan. He will be deeply missed by many family members and friends, especially the Zanotti family, the Pecile family and Alex Piasentin and family. He will always be remembered for his cheerful personality, his infectious laugh and his famous ‘whistle’.
Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave Windsor ON (519)253-7236 on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Prayer at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:30 AM from the funeral home then to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd) for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetis Association.
