The Little Food Market, Melbourne

Overview

After the success of The Big Design Market, The Big Design Group introduces its latest initiative: The Little Food Market. Top tastemakers from across Australia will gather at the Royal Exhibition Building for a weekend, showcasing artisanal goods and homewares during this three-day event.

From Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, stop by to view artwork by Alice Oehr while tasting products that advocate sustainability and a connection to the land, including organic cheeses, oils, honey and preserves. There will also be producers showcasing their own wine, craft beer and spirits, alongside stalls selling food-related household items such as picnic baskets, ceramics and tableware.

If all the browsing gets you hungry, leading chefs are on hand to prepare a special culinary experience, which you can enjoy between demonstrations and tastings on the main stage. Renowned bartender Orlando Marzo (of Loro Cocktails), award-winning cheesemaker Giorgio Linguanti (of That’s Amore Cheese) and fermentation master Sharon Flynn are among the experts taking the stage.

Experience some of Melbourne’s thriving culinary culture and notable Australian producers at The Little Food Market. The event will take place from 11am to 9pm on Friday 19th July, from 10am to 7pm on Saturday 20th July and from 10am to 5pm until Sunday 21st July. Tickets start at $19 and early bird tickets are on sale now on the website.
