Two teens arrested after chase, crash in Raleigh

Authorities are investigating a chase that ended in a crash in Raleigh on Sunday evening.

According to the State Highway Patrol, an officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a car traveling 90 miles per hour on westbound I-40. The car then crashed on Six Forks Road near Martindale Drive.

One witness said they heard a “big bang” outside at the time of the crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed the car had been stolen from Wake Forest and authorities arrested two teenagers who were in the vehicle.

Police said only minor injuries occurred in the crash.
