Representatives of travel agencies of Turkmenistan visited Turkey

A group of representatives of travel agencies of Turkmenistan made a study visit to the Turkish cities of Sanliurfa and Gaziantep to get acquainted with local attractions and assess the tourism potential of these regions. Turkmenportal was informed about this by the Turkish embassy in Turkmenistan.

The delegation visited the ancient archaeological site of Gobeklitepe in Sanliurfa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also known as the “Capital of Gastronomy” and is the first Turkish city to be included in the list

UNESCO Creative Cities Network for Gastronomy. In Gaziantep, Turkmen specialists were introduced to the world’s largest Zeugma mosaic museum.

The trip, organized by Turkish Airlines and the Turkish Tourist Development and Promotion Agency, allowed participants to appreciate the unique taste and cultural heritage of the regions visited. Business meetings were also held with representatives of the Turkish tourism industry to exchange information and establish cooperation.
