Strictly Star is worried about her ‘mother clock’ ‘not stopping’ after marital break-up

Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has spoken candidly about her fears about her ‘mother clock’ in a candid confession.

The dancing sensation has expressed her concerns about love and motherhood as she approaches her 35th birthday. Katya, who was previously married to co-star Neil Jones, has been single for a while and is preparing for a new dazzling season on the dance floor.

Katya confessed to the ticking of her biological clock and confessed: “Yes. Modern women our age can have careers and pursue our passions. Be happy and fulfilled on your own. But on the other hand, it doesn’t stop us from mother clock or our aging process, unfortunately, so how do you balance those two things.”

During a candid conversation on Aimee Fuller’s Monday Mile podcast, recorded while on vacation in Australia, the Russian beauty delved into the topic with her Olympic snowboarding boyfriend. As they walked, they touched on the powerful support women provide each other.

Katya faced a barrage of online trolls after a leaked photo of her cuddling comedian Seann Walsh, her 2018 Strictly partner, who was in a relationship at the time. Following the scandal, she parted ways with Neil in 2019, who recently celebrated the arrival of baby Havana with Love Island alum Chyna Mills.

Despite splitting from Neil, it seems Katya still has a friendly relationship with him as she recently wished him a happy birthday.

She shared a throwback photo to her Instagram Story of Neil as a baby and captioned it: “Happy Birthday Neil Jones,” followed by a tongue out and a wink emoji.

She added: “Neil’s birthday will forever mean one thing…. Great friendship with my absolute favorite.”

Katya has opened up about dealing with online trolls. She said confidently: “I have completely learned to detach myself from it. What is important to me is that we are walking now, you know who I am. My family knows me and loves me for who I am. But would I like to add value to the world? Yes. And in some ways I already do. I think I make people happy because that’s what Strictly does.

She told Hello about her relationship with Monday Mile podcast snake Aimee: “We met through Neil, my ex-husband. I went to his birthday party in 2021, and Aimee was a big part of that because she introduced him to wakesurfing; We spent his birthday wakesurfing with a group of people, and Aimee was one of them, and we got along so well. That was it, the beginning of the adventure.’
