Discussion | The role of religion in politics

JOHANNESBURG – JOHANNESBURG – eNCA continues the conversation on the role churches can play as the country heads towards elections.

In recent weeks, politicians have visited places of worship and interacted with religious leaders across the country.

With this year’s elections being described as the most crucial since 1994, there could be uncertainty, including disruptions and perhaps acts of violence.

There is a call to prayer, however, to ensure that we have peaceful elections in about three weeks.

eNCA speaks to Bert Pretorius, co-founder of 3C’s Church in Pretoria, and Vuyani Buwe from Word of Life Worship House in Cape Town.
