Exploring historic Sindh; Karachi unveils new tourist train route

In an offer to encourage tourism, the Sindh government has unveiled an exciting new initiative: tourist train services. These facilities are intended to facilitate the exploration of the province’s rich historical sites.

The train route varies from Karachi to the picturesque Parche-Ji-Veri, famous for its incredible sunset views, with a break in Hyderabad. The Sindh tourist train departs from Karachi every Saturday and returns on Sunday, offering citizens a weekend getaway to enjoy the scenic beauty of Sindh.

Debates are being initiated with Pakistan Railways to ensure affordability of fares for passengers. This benefit is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote Sindh’s cultural heritage and boost tourism, as stated by Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the Sindh Minister of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives.

Besides the train services, a bus service will also be launched in Karachi. This service takes travelers on a tour of the city’s historic landmarks, including the zoo, and provides entertainment options for those who cannot travel to Naran Kaghan during the summer holidays.
