Victoria Beckham happy to let go of ‘miserable cow’ reputation – Film News | Film-News.co.uk

Victoria Beckham is relieved to have finally shed her ‘miserable cow’ reputation.

The star rose to fame in the British group the Spice Girls in the 1990s and was nicknamed Posh Spice for her designer outfits and tendency to pout rather than smile in front of cameras.

Victoria turned 50 this week and has revealed she has finally learned to relax and enjoy herself when she is in the spotlight.

“I was looking at some pictures of myself recently and was really impressed with how happy I looked,” she told Sunday Times Style. “In the past, I’ve always looked at those red carpet photos of me and seen a woman looking nervous and insecure.

‘Everyone saw a woman who looked grumpy and stern. I suppose that’s why I got the reputation of being such a miserable cow.’

After finding fame as a singer, Victoria launched successful fashion and beauty lines and shares four children with her husband David Beckham.

The star said she feels happier than ever with the direction her life is going.

“I am excited about the future. The thing about getting older is that it is what it is,” she explained.

“But overall I feel good about things. I have better opportunities now than when I was younger.”

Victoria also discussed the hit Netflix documentary Beckham, a four-part series that followed David’s hugely successful football career and gave fans a glimpse into the couple’s family life.

Victoria has admitted that it took some time for her to watch the final episode of the show.

“On a flight to Miami we finally watched it,” she recalls. ‘David suggested we get a bottle of wine. It was a beautiful moment; we were both very proud.”
