Hopeson Adorye, Director of Special Duties for the Movement for Change, has stated that he would be hypocritical to claim that he is not bitter over the way the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has treated him.

In an interview on Okay FM on Friday, May 3, 2024, Adorye said he is still pained by being expelled from the party despite almost ending up in jail for the nuclear power plant.

“If I tell you on this channel that I am not bitter, then I am a hypocrite. I would be the biggest hypocrite in the country… Wasn’t it in your studio that I almost went to jail because of the nuclear power plant? Ben am I a fool?

“I am not a hypocrite if I deny that I am bitter… My death would have been foolish if I had died. You have to understand why we sometimes complain,” he told Kwame Nkrumah Tikese.

Adorye announced through the NPP that he had renounced his membership following his endorsement of the independent presidential candidacy of Alan Kyerematen.

According to him, he was treated badly by the party even before he was expelled from the nuclear power plant.

He claimed that his association with Alan Kyerematen led to him being relieved of his duties as Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of the VIP lounge at Kotoka International Airport.
