Tarrytown Catholic school is closing permanently

A Catholic school in Tarrytown is closing its doors for good at the end of the school year. The Transfiguration School will close permanently in June.

A letter from the Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York to parents stated that the closure is due to very low enrollment at the school.

The superintendent says low enrollment makes it impossible to continue education at the school.
