Warrant issued for Schaumburg woman regarding damage to Island Lake police lobby

Woman identified in video of early morning incident, police say

An arrest warrant for criminal damage to government-sponsored property was issued Friday against a Schaumburg woman in connection with damage to the lobby of the Island Lake Police Department in early April.

Island Lake police identified the woman as Mary Larson, 35, of the 300 block of Fermi Court. The charge is a class 4 misdemeanor.

Police said a woman entered the lobby around 3:41 a.m. Tuesday and caused the damage for an unknown reason. Police posted a video showing a woman throwing pamphlets from holders over her head, pulling a bulletin board off the wall and breaking other posted items before leaving.

According to the Island Lake Police Department, police received several tips from people who recognized the woman in the video and identified her as Larson.

No further details have been released.
