Russian Defense Minister: Ukrainian armed forces have been losing around a thousand soldiers every day since the beginning of this year

MOSCOW, May 3, 2024 (Saba) – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing around a thousand soldiers every day in the month of April, in addition to dozens of aircraft and drone boats, as a result of ongoing military operations.

Shoigu said during a video meeting with Russian army commanders that the Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 111,000 soldiers in 2024, as well as 21,000 weapons and military equipment.

He pointed out that in the past two weeks the Russian army has expanded its control over 547 square kilometers of land and that a number of towns have been liberated, including ‘Novobakhmutovka, Semenovka and Berdychi’.
