Looking to the future – Latest news

Here, in Caesar, the field is not just land; It is tradition, it is the future and it is the hope for a better life for many families. But for this to become a reality, government leaders must put rural development at the heart of their municipal development plans. And it’s not just about saying it, but about doing it with actions that really make a difference.

According to the law, there are several components that our leaders must take into account to promote this sustainable development: from the Municipal Councils for Rural Development (CMDR), through the Municipal Agricultural Programs (PAM) to the Departmental Agricultural Expansion Plans (PDEA). and the Comprehensive Plans for Agricultural, Rural and Land Development (PIDARET). These are all important tools that, if used properly, could be game-changing for our field.

If these plans remain merely on paper and are not implemented with enthusiasm and efficiency, the consequences can be serious. Socially, we could see our rural communities continue to be left behind, without access to opportunities that can improve their quality of life and without providing us all with our food sovereignty.
From a fiscal perspective, an abandoned field means less income for the municipality and therefore fewer resources to invest in the well-being of everyone. And legally speaking, forgetting these obligations can lead to sanctions and legal problems that no one wants.
What do we need? May our local leaders put their heart and soul into the development of our field. That they do not only include these components in their plans because the law requires them to do so, but because they understand that this is best for their municipalities. Let them see the countryside as an investment in our future, and not as a burden.

It is time for leaders to demonstrate their commitment to rural areas with concrete actions. Let them work with rural communities, listen to their needs and support them, so that together we can build a more prosperous and sustainable Cesar.

It is time to act, invest, benefit and believe in the potential of our region and our people. For a better future for all, let us make the sustainable development of the agricultural and rural sectors a reality. Let’s not forget that coal is running out, it’s now or never!
