Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner election results

The election for Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner on Thursday 2 May 2024 has concluded and the results are in:

Jonathan Evison (Conservative – More police, safer streets) – 51,083

Simon O’Rourke (Labour and Co-operative Party) – 30,834

Bob Morgan (Liberal Democrats) – 46,846

Jonathan Evison is duly elected.

The Humberside police area covers four council areas: North Lincolnshire; North East Lincolnshire; Hull City Council; East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

North Lincolnshire voted as follows:

Conservative – 11,124
Labor – 8,623
Liberal Democrat – 1,938

The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to oversee the local police to ensure they meet the needs of the community.

They deal with police strategies, budgets, municipal taxes for the police, public information about police activities and appointment/dismissal of chief constables.
