Crime investigation: More cars stolen after thieves break into homes to grab keys

SOME of the latest crimes reported to police in the Alcester area.

Alcester: An attempt was made to break into a house in Captains Hill. Noises were heard from the rear of the property before the suspects left in a vehicle at around 2.20am on April 25. No. 0031 25/04/2024

Dodwell: Thieves tried unsuccessfully to steal a car from a property in Evesham Road. Two men broke into a house, stole the keys to a vehicle, but then fled in their own car towards Evesham at 2am on April 25. 0026 25/04/2024

Dunnington: Tools were stolen after a commercial vehicle was broken into at 1.15pm on April 25. At that time a blue VW Passat was seen leaving the area. 0173 25/04/2024

Henley: A house in Blackford Hill was entered through French doors. Various items were stolen, including jewelry, laptops, a safe, clothing, Lego sets, artwork and car keys. It happened on April 25 between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM. 0379 25/04/2024

Little Alne: Three men wearing face coverings or balaclavas were seen in the driveway of a house at 2.25am on April 24 looking around vehicles. 0155 24/04/2024

Redhill: A suspected drink driver was arrested on the A46 at 11.30pm on April 26. 0374 26/04/2024

Studley: A man attempted to take an electric vehicle charger in Watts Road. He also tried to open the door of the vehicle before he was challenged and walked towards Alcester Road. He was described as white with a slim build, 6ft tall and wearing a gray hoodie, jeans and trainers. He was seen at 6am on April 27. 0056 27/04/2024

Studley: Four young people were caught spray-painting CCTV on the basketball court in Pool Road. They drove away in a car, but the description was passed on to the police. It happened at 1:25 am on April 26. 0021 26/04/2024

Weethley: At 6.10pm on April 22, two men were spotted with white lurchers, possibly hunting hares, on private land on Evesham Road. Police spoke to the men and the dogs were seized pending further investigation. 0271 22/04/2024

Welford: A black BMW It happened on the night of April 27 to 28. 0062 28/04/2024

Another house in Chapel Street was broken into between April 22 and 23 and an Audi SQ5 was stolen. 0041 23/04/2024
