The historic Mt Pilio Train resumes service

The iconic tourist trains of Pilio in central Greece will resume service on the Ano Lechonia-Milies-Ano Lechonia route on Mount Pilio on Friday, following the restoration of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) line, according to an announcement from Hellenic Train .

It noted that to better serve Easter excursion goers, the routes will also operate on Mondays and Tuesdays.

In particular, the train departs from Ano Lechonia at 10:00 AM and returns from Milies at 3:00 PM with a 15-minute stopover in Ano Gatzea in both directions of the route.

The historic Pilio Railway is a 600mm narrow gauge railway line that connects the city of Volos with the town of Milies in Pilio.
