COCC Health Careers Expo offers tours and academic demos for high school students

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Central Oregon high school students considering a future in health care will find much to explore at Central Oregon Community College’s Health Careers Expo from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at the Health Careers Center on the Bend -campus.

COCC faculty, staff and students will lead a series of mini hands-on classes. The Health Careers Expo is open to current high school students interested in careers in: Dental Assisting, Health Information Management, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedicine, Pharmacy Technician, Public Health and Veterinary Technician.

Current and former COCC students, faculty and healthcare professionals will be on hand to answer questions and discuss program details. There will be a free lunch brought to you by COCC’s Office of High School Partnerships. Registration closes on May 10.
