Golden Future 50+ Expo Illuminates Pasadena Convention Center with Celebration of Senior Vitality – Pasadena Now

Pasadena’s Golden Future 50+ Expo spotlights the vibrant and active lives of seniors and offers a diverse range of activities, from mini-makeovers to technical education tailored to the 50+ group. With its doors opening at the Pasadena Convention Center on Saturday, May 4, the expo invites everyone to celebrate the joys of growing older.

Admission to the Expo is free and there is validated parking at the Convention Center for participants.

Sponsored by Golden Future Expos Inc. This annual meeting in Pasadena – the LA North/San Gabriel Valley edition – promises to provide an enriching experience tailored to individuals age 50 and older, with a variety of resources available on-site to enhance their lifestyle, health and well-being. and pension.

“Overall, the Senior Expo has evolved into a dynamic and inclusive event that serves as a vital resource for seniors and a celebration of aging well,” said Toyia Moore Borrelli, events director for Golden Future Expos Inc. “It continues to adapt to changing demographics, emerging trends and evolving needs to remain relevant and impactful in the lives of seniors.”

Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic atmosphere that celebrates the wisdom and vitality of seniors. From innovative aging solutions to expert-led workshops and interactive classes, the expo provides seniors with a platform to discover, learn and connect with like-minded individuals in a supportive and vibrant community.

Offers at the Expo include bingo games with cash prizes, door prize drawings, mini makeovers, jewelry making classes and technical education specifically tailored for seniors. These activities promote personal growth and enrichment and underscore the importance of social connection and lifelong learning in the aging process.

Borrelli said the Golden Future 50+ Expo started 14 years ago and has continued to flourish and expand. She credits this in part to her personal experience as a receptionist at a senior living community and later caring for her grandmother.

“I have learned a lot from the residents. They taught me to enjoy life, take risks and hold your loved ones near and dear,” she said. “After college, I lived for a year with my grandmother, who had Alzheimer’s disease. It was tough, but I cherished every moment and learned that caregivers are true angels.”

Borrelli acknowledges the challenges of organizing an event tailored to the 50+ demographic and highlights the varying comfort levels with technology among participants. To meet diverse needs, the expo offers user-friendly online registration in addition to free admission and parking validation for all participants.

Golden Future Expos also partners with local businesses and organizations, all of which play an important role in enhancing the event experience, Borrelli said.

“By partnering with local businesses, we can provide the expo with unique products and services, giving visitors a true taste of what it means to live and thrive in the Pasadena area,” she continued.

On Sunday, the Expo will offer a free Golden Future Tote Bag of goodies, as many as 70 exciting stalls, expert speakers and workshops to help you live your best life, and health and wellness screenings for all seniors.

Borrelli shared the long-term vision for the Golden Future 50+ Expo, saying they plan to continue hosting it in Pasadena, but hinted at plans for expansion to Northern California in 2025.
