Brunswick’s Pete and Polly are growing into a new location

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — As children grow, their clothes quickly become too small and are often simply thrown away. That’s where Pete and Polly’s of Brunswick comes into the picture.

Pete and Polly’s Resale Shop is a place where families can sell and buy children’s clothing. Pete and Polly’s also sell items, toys and even furniture.

“We are for people who have a lot of stuff that they no longer use, but don’t have a lot of free time to sell it themselves, but would rather get something than nothing and know that they are helping others to do so,” said Renee Garofalo, who is the store for seven years.

Pete and Polly’s children’s store is moving to a larger building at 3925 Center Road in Brunswick.

Garofalo started working at Pete and Polly’s shortly after it opened in 2011 and loved everything about the store. A few years later the store was put up for sale. Garofalo then got a wonderful surprise when she found out her husband had bought it for her.

Of course, there were some obstacles she had to overcome before she could actually say she owned Pete and Polly’s, but Garofalo persevered.

“Now that I’ve been able to bring it back to life – and then some – it’s just reminded me that with God, all things are possible in His perfect time,” she said.

Now it seems like everyone loves shopping at Pete and Polly’s. So much so that the store has to expand to a new, larger location.

This month, Pete and Polly’s will still be operating at 1816 Pearl Road, right next to the Brunswick KiDDS dental clinic. Then, in June, they’ll move to 3925 Center Road.

Garofalo is enthusiastic about this new development.

“We have been praying for guidance, and lately many things have fallen into place. I don’t believe in coincidences, so I can say that our prayers have been answered and our wonderful landlord has offered us the opportunity to expand our boundaries on Center Road,” said Garofalo.
