Rhodes College is one of the country’s premier institutions for study abroad, according to the Open Doors 2023 report on international educational exchange released by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Institute of International Education (IIE). Rhodes ranked number 29 in number of students participating (196 total for Rhodes); No. 31 for participating baccalaureate colleges and No. 13 for the number of students participating in short-term programs. The rankings are based on participation in the 2021-2022 academic year. The Open Doors 2023 report shows that during the 2021-2022 academic year, U.S. study abroad has recovered to more than half of pre-pandemic levels, according to an IIE press release.

Nextch has announced an official partnership with Remington College – a nonprofit university headquartered in Dallas with a location in Memphis – as an employer partner of choice. Nextech provides 24-hour nationwide HVAC/R services and employs nearly 2,000 self-employed technicians nationwide. Remington College offers HVAC programs on nine campuses in four states.

Nia Nguyen has joined Junior achievement from Memphis and the Mid-South as the nonprofit’s office coordinator. Before joining JA, she worked in sales and customer service, including as a sales account executive at Truxio and as a wellness advisor at YogaSix. She will help coordinate office tasks and provide administrative support across the development and program teams.
