Claire Sweeney and Ricky Hatton confirm romance as they make their red carpet debut

Claire Sweeney and Ricky Hatton have made their red carpet debut as a duo at a star-studded event, seemingly confirming their relationship after weeks of gossip.

Rumors have it that the two celebrities started seeing each other last year after their appearance on Dancing on Ice. The Corrie star, 53, and professional boxer Ricky, 45, were inseparable at the newly inaugurated Co-op Live in Manchester on Saturday.

Ricky and Claire’s paths crossed when both took part in Dancing on Ice earlier this year. Although the live shows didn’t start until January, rehearsals were underway in 2023, likely when Ricky and Claire developed their connection.

Rumor has it that Ricky started the romance with Claire, which led to a series of dates. The boxing pro is reportedly ‘smitten’ with his new partner, and the affection appears to be mutual, an insider claims.

“Claire has had a lot of bad luck with her love life in the past, but she is very happy with Ricky. He has a good heart and really makes her laugh. That’s actually the way to Claire’s heart, making her laugh and she has been nothing but smiles since she met Ricky,” an insider revealed to OK!

“It’s a very unlikely combination, but they’ve both realized that they actually have so much in common and they both really enjoy each other’s company and they laugh all the time.”

The source continued: “Claire also likes boxing and she likes a rough and tough guy and they get on really well. I think they’re going to try to get away quickly, maybe have a Caribbean vacation, but they’re just enjoying each other’s company and having a little fun.”
