Look | Pak Hindu Senate MP’s comments on forced conversion are going viral

A speech lasting more than five minutes by a Hindu lawmaker in Pakistan about forced conversions is causing a stir on social media. While speaking on the issue of forced conversion, the main targets of which were the minority Hindu community, Senator Danesh Kumar Palyani slammed the government for its inaction towards the ‘influential people’ involved in serious human rights violations.

“You see, in Sindh, bandits are forcibly converting our Hindu girls to Islam. Bandits in mud forts kidnap people, but bandits in populated areas force girls to convert their religion,” the leader said during the ongoing 337th session of Pakistan Senate. 30th of April.

“However, Pakistan gives us the right that no one should force anyone else to convert. Even in the Quran it says ‘La ikraha fiddin’ (there is no compulsion in religion), while in ‘Surah Al-Kafirun’ it says Your religion for you and mine for me. These oppressive people don’t even believe in Pakistan’s constitution or Quran Sharif. They are forcibly changing the religion of Hindu women,” he added.
