Palestinian death toll in Gaza rises to 34,568: Ministry

Gaza, May 2: The Palestinian death toll from continued Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 34,568, the Hamas-led Health Ministry said in a press statement.

In the past 24 hours, the Israeli army has killed 33 Palestinians and injured 57 others, bringing the total death toll since the outbreak of the conflict between Israel and Hamas to 34,568 and 77,765 wounded, Xinhua news agency reported.

Some victims still lie under the rubble amid continued Israeli attacks and a lack of rescue teams, the statement said on Wednesday.

Israel launched a full-scale offensive against Hamas in Gaza in retaliation against the Hamas rampage along the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people and taking more than 200 hostage.
