CCTV call after man was ‘kidnapped and robbed’ in Tonbridge

A man has claimed he was kidnapped and robbed in Tonbridge. The police request camera footage and dashcam footage after the man filed a report.

At around 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 17, the victim, a man in his twenties, went to an address in Mann Square where he was allegedly attacked. The victim is said to have been placed in a blue Vauxhall Astra and driven to Leigh, where property belonging to him was stolen at around 11.15pm.



It is understood that during the journey the vehicle stopped briefly on Leigh Road, near the junction with Stocks Green Road. Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident in Mann Square to contact them.

They are also asking residents with CCTV and drivers with dashcam to watch footage of the Vauxhall Astra driving to and from Leigh between 10.30pm and 11.25pm. On Sunday, April 21, three men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Rubin Gibbs, 21, of Baker Lane, Tonbridge; Ethan Dunmall, 19, of Mann Square and Adam O’Sullivan, 29, of Somerhill Road, Tonbridge, were later charged with kidnap, making demands with threats, assault, possession of a knife in a public place and theft. The suspects appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 22.

They were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on May 20. Anyone with information can call 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/65876/24.
