‘I couldn’t believe it’, shoppers rush to supermarket to get lingerie as bras and panties are slashed to 50 cents

Finding lingerie that is both flattering and handbag-friendly is often a challenge.

But luckily bargain-hunting fashionistas have discovered the ultimate deal at a major supermarket where bras and knickers are cut to pennies.

One lucky shopper, Reanne Attwood, took to Facebook to show off her vast array of cheap lingerie, including lace underwear and sexy bras for less than a pound.

According to her, ASDA is now offering a wide range of underwear as part of a ‘huge sale’ – and whether you’re looking for something friendlier for everyday use or a sexy pair of underwear for the bedroom, there’s a choice for every occasion.

Reanne urged others not to lose sleep over the incredible offer and shared photos of the goodies she got her hands on from the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.

”First time I posted because I never got a bargain, went to my local ASDA and underwear was on a HUGE sale,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

Cheap lingerie essentials included bras for £1 and panties for £50 and she even found three packs for the same price.

Stunned by the incredible deal, Reanne made sure she stocked up on underwear and picked up beautiful red bras with a satin finish, as well as a stunning khaki bra with a similar cut.

The mega catch also included two white bras and several panties, some of which she had bought for others.

”Not all for me, also collected for relatives!” said the customer who spotted the bargain at the branch in Halesowen, near Birmingham.

Although Reanne did not reveal the full price of the goodies, social media users could see that one item had been reduced from £8.50 to just 50p, saving her a fortune.

Since it was uploaded to the Facebook page – home to more than 2.4 million bargain lovers – the post has racked up more than 120 likes in less than a day.

Dozens of people flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, tagging their friends and family to let them know about the brave news.

”I got two packs of three bras last week, five per pack, I couldn’t believe it,” one ASDA fan shared his absolute bargain of a win.

Another tagged his friend and planned a trip to the local store.

‘Shall we have a look on Friday? Let’s hope we find some bargains.”

However, not everyone had the best luck spotting the handbag-friendly lingerie, with one person moaning to their partner: ”Why can’t we find this?”

”I just checked – only small sizes on their web page,” one online shopper warned.

How can you tell if you are wearing the wrong bra size?

  • The straps keep falling down
  • Your bust flares out over the top, sides or bottom
  • The fabric on the cups does not fit properly
  • You wear your bra on the last hook on the back
  • The bra straps cause dents in your shoulders
  • The tire starts to drive over your back
  • The underwire of the bra digs into your skin
  • You suffer from neck and back pain because of your bust.

If you don’t have an ASDA nearby, bargain hunters can also find some cheap lingerie essentials on the website, like this Entice green balcony bra with satin lace trim that sells for a fiver.

The sexy bra, which previously retailed for £8, is also starring in positive five-star reviews online, with people saying it fits true to size.

One fan of the beautiful underwear said: ”I absolutely love the color of this bra. The fit is great and keeps everything in place.

“The only disadvantage is that it contains a roll of deodorant.”

Another chuckled: ‘This is as beautiful as I thought it would be. It is not the most comfortable bra, because in older, heavy sagging breasts the deep sides dig in after a while.

“But I don’t wear a bra like that when I’m gardening, so it doesn’t matter.”
