An overview of the role:

As a Director in our Insurance practice, you have a proven track record in insurance (commercial or London markets) and are driven to build stable relationships to deliver value to our current and new clients.

You’re ready for the challenge of helping build an insurance portfolio for the Invent brand, showcasing your network and content credibility. Normally you work with one or more accounts and manage one or two accounts.

As a leader on the Invent Insurance team, you will build a team and provide thought leadership to encourage and grow the team.

Why this role?

As a director of the company, you will help set the direction, drive the company forward, shape our values ​​and behaviors, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations of this role include:

  • Manage and grow one or more Invent Insurance accounts across the entire Invent offering portfolio
  • Proactively open new connections and bring the team along to maximize customer impact
  • Get to know a specific insurance area and become the point of contact for it
  • Help insurance leadership drive aggressive hiring in the marketplace
  • Ensure an optimal balance between sales and delivery – be hands-on when necessary to support the teams

As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that fall into the following categories:

  • Business Development – ​​​​Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, contributing to customer pitches, customer hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think tanks, white papers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offer development.
  • Learning and Development – ​​Training to support your career development and in-company skills demand, certifications, etc.

We would like to meet someone with:

  • Proven ability to succeed in a matrix organization and to recruit support and commitment from colleagues in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience in building and delivering propositions within the insurance sector
  • Currently working at a large consultancy firm and/or in industry, but with a consultancy background.
  • Business development – by using a combination of the organisation’s wider pre-existing relationships, business relationships and your own network, uc generates .£2 million by consultancy income (director)
