Pedestrian struck and killed in Pomona collision – Daily Bulletin

A pedestrian was killed in a collision in Pomona on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched around 1:35 a.m. to the area around Towne Avenue and Ninth Street, where a pedestrian was lying in the northbound lanes of Towne Avenue, Pomona police said.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The vehicle involved fled the scene of the collision and was not located by responding officers,” a police statement said.
