One person was killed in a shooting at an apartment in Bellevue on Friday evening, police said

Dorsey Moorlet, 37, had left Forest Park Apartments on his way to work but tried to go back for a forgotten item, Metro Nashville police said. Police said he was just outside the apartment after witnesses heard gunshots around 10:15 p.m

Moorlet was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died, MNPD said.

The murder investigation is still ongoing.
