The nomination application for the Imperial County Local Health Authority Commission is now open

IMPERIAL COUNTY (KYMA, KECY) – The Imperial County Public Health Department has announced the application process to nominate one member of the Imperial County Local Health Authority (LHA) for the position of Commissioner.

In a press release, the appointment will come from the director of the Imperial County Public Health Department and the appointment will be made by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors.

The press release also states that the LHA was formed “to advise and ensure that qualified residents of Imperial County receive health care services.”

This opportunity is for a committed individual who is interested in creating a direct impact on the health of our Medi-Cal beneficiaries, I encourage all interested and qualified individuals to apply.”

Application period and submission

To be eligible, the press release states that the applicant/prospective candidate must be a resident of Imperial County, an individual who practices medicine in Imperial County, and “an individual who represents and demonstrates the interests of Medi-Cal beneficiaries demonstrates sensitivity and awareness of the concerns and issues facing Medi-Cal beneficiaries.”

The registration period started on Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 AM and runs until Thursday, May 30 at 4:00 PM. The entry can be accepted in two different ways:

  • Mail Delivery: Imperial County Public Health Department, Attention: Janette Angulo, Director, 935 Broadway Avenue, El Centro, California 92243.
  • Personal Deliveries: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (except holidays), Imperial County Public Health Department, Attention: Janette Angulo, Director, 935 Broadway Avenue, El Centro, California 92243.
