Where’s WallyGator, the emotional support alligator – NBC10 Philadelphia

An alligator rescue group has offered to help find Wally — an emotional support alligator known in the Philadelphia area after he was denied entry to a Phillies game — who was recently stolen during a trip south and released into the wild was released.

The Wallygator Facebook page has been sharing updates about the search for Wally since the end of last week.

According to Wally’s owner Joie Henney, the theft apparently occurred on Sunday, April 21, in Brunswick, Georgia.

After the initial report about Wally was stolen, the alligator’s owner reported Sunday that Wally had been taken by a person who likes to drop alligators into people’s yards “to terrorize them.” The state Department of Natural Resources then called in a trapper who captured Wally and released him into a swamp along with other alligators.

“The swamp is very large and the trapper said the chances of finding Wally are slim to none,” the message said.

The Gator Boys intervened to save Wally, but as of Monday, April 29, 2024, they were still gathering information to determine Wally’s exact location.

For now, the search for ‘Where’s Wally’ continues.
