Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday stated that the people of the country would not accept the agenda of the Congress, SP and INDIA bloc of granting reservation to a specific religious group, thereby disrupting the constitutional framework is endangered and violates the reservation meant for backward and backward people. scheduled castes.

Interacting with the media at the Gorakhnath Temple complex, the Prime Minister underlined, “Bharatiya Janata Party firmly opposes any form of reservation on the basis of religion as the common people have borne the brunt of the partition of India on the basis of religion. The BJP strongly supports reservation benefits for SC-ST and OBC communities.”

He noted that the history of Congress, Samajwadi Party and their associates within the INDIA alliance is known to all. “The Congress has a track record of undermining Baba Saheb Dr’s Constitution. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Since its passage in 1950, Congress has continually attempted to manipulate the Constitution for its own purposes, often ignoring basic freedoms such as freedom of speech. Government is for the people, and public sentiments must be respected, a principle which Congress has failed to understand.”

Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the people have not forgotten the emergency and likened the incident to “strangling the constitution of the country.” “Besides this, the people of the country also remember the sins committed by the Congress during the UPA government. The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party were allies of the Congress in the UPA government at that time,” he added.

CM Yogi alleged that the Congress had tried to deprive the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes of their rights through initiatives like the Justice Ranganath Mishra Committee and the Sachar Committee, taking actions that were against the Constitution in the whole country. Then the Congress maliciously tried to introduce reservations based on religion.

He continued, “The ulterior motive of the then Congress government was to scrap 6 per cent of the 27 per cent reservation meant for OBC and give it to a community as part of its appeasement policy. Similarly, attempts were made through the Sachar Committee to include certain Muslim castes by encroaching on the reservations allotted to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that the strong opposition from the Bharatiya Janata Party foiled the intentions of the then Congress government. Otherwise, the Congress within the same UPA government would have tried to undermine the OBC and SC-ST reservations by introducing religion-based reservations nationwide, he pointed out.

CM Yogi noted that Congress has already initiated religious reservations in Karnataka by encroaching on OBC reservation. The Election Commission has also demanded a report from the Karnataka government on the issue, he said.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the BJP’s Baba Saheb Dr. Fully respects Ambedkar and all the framers of the Constitution.

He stated, “The BJP is committed to discharge its constitutional obligations with sincerity, in accordance with the vision of the Constitution makers, recognizing the Constitution of India as the supreme guiding principle. The Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party that has fully respected the values and ideals of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Panchatirthas have been built. The idea of celebrating the year 2025 as the National Tribal Pride Year has been included in our Sankalp Patra.”

Replying to a question, Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath noted that the Congress leadership has been a complete failure. He noted, “Even members within the Congress party itself have no confidence in their leadership.”

He explained, “This is clearly visible as Congress candidates are withdrawing from election contests in certain regions, state presidents are resigning and in some places the declared candidates are withdrawing their candidature and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. As a result, the remaining Congress leaders in their frustration are resorting to baseless and fabricated allegations.”

CM Yogi asserted that the public is well aware of the true nature of the leaders within the Congress, SP and INDIA alliance and they will not allow their agendas to materialize.
