I return to Kenya for a healthier family and social life

A Kenyan living in the United States of America has boldly come out to say that he is returning to Kenya because the US has sucked the life out of him.

The Kenyan, who identified himself as Benson, said that although he has led a very successful life in America, working good jobs and acquiring homes and land in the US, he is returning home to escape the rat race.

According to him, the US has so much opportunity to make money and build wealth, but it has no room or capacity for the kind of social and family life he craves and that can be found in Kenya.

“I have been here since 2011. I have done many types of work. I served in the US Army for four years and deployed to Afghanistan. I have worked in the corporate world. My last job paid me $12,000 a month (Sh.1.6 million) and I also have my own job. companies,” he said.

“But I’ve realized that I’m wasting my time in America and I won’t do that anymore; I’m going back home to Kenya.”

What to expect when trying to move to the US using K1 and CR1 US visas

Benson said he has realized there is more to life than making money. “It’s really not about the money because I have my own properties and investments here,” he said.

“With all these investments and properties, I’m never going to enjoy it, because here it’s all about work. You wake up at dawn to work and retire in the evening. There is no time for my children and family.”

Benson noted that since investing in real estate in the US, he plans to venture into property management in Kenya.

“Since I have investments that can support the kind of family lifestyle I desire, it makes no sense for me to stay stuck in this race of work and no family or social life. It feels like slavery and I’m done with it,” he said.

His admission comes as a shock to thousands of Kenyans lining up at the US Embassy in Nairobi to pay for and interview for coveted US visas.
