Doja Cat’s fur coat and suitcase look has fans divided

Doja Cat is no stranger to head-turning looks and that was the case again with a recent outfit that honored designer Brett Alan Nelson. She hit the red carpet for a recent fashion event in a statement fur coat with an overstuffed suitcase accessory. She paired it with sheer underwear and glasses with thick black rims. The pop star once again went for a short hair look, which is always controversial among her fans. Unsurprisingly, initial reactions to the look were mixed.

In the comments of a post, some photos of the fit red carpet fans shared their impressions of the unconventional look. Some were quite positive. with Doja’s die-hards seeming to love the look. “I give Annie’s mean lady and I love it,” reads one comment. “Fashion is fearless and out of the box. This is different and I like it,” another agreed. But others are far less skeptical, with countless gifs expressing their disgust at the fit filling the comments. “She wants so much to look like Il Kim, but her appearance is not iconic,” reads one particularly pointed comment. Check out the full set of fan reactions below.

Doja Cat’s interesting new red carpet look

Earlier this month, Doja Cat headlined Coachella for the first time. She delivered energetic performances over back-to-back weekends with guest stars including A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage and Teezo Touchdown. It immediately followed the release of the deluxe version of her album Scarlet from last year. The newly released songs include features from both Rocky and Teezo which they delivered during the closing set of Weekend 1.

Last week, Doja took to Twitter with a warning to her fans. She said they should stop bringing children to her concerts because she doesn’t make music for children.
