Pedestrian struck and killed by struck vehicle in Pomona

A pedestrian was killed by a struck vehicle in Pomona on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched around 1:35 a.m. to the area around Towne Avenue and Ninth Street, where a pedestrian was located in the northbound lanes of Towne Avenue, Pomona police said.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
