The Westchester Police Emergency Service Unit is conducting special training at the closed Galleria Mall

The Westchester Police Emergency Service Unit (ESU) uses the closed Galleria Mall for specialized training.

ESU members recently completed training at the White Plains Mall to refine their rope rescue techniques.

The exercises cover a spectrum of scenarios, from rescuing those who have fallen down elevator shafts to those who have fallen from two-story ledges.

After the simulations, the “victims” are safely collected to receive the necessary medical care.
