Dr. Bawumia begins a regional tour of the east with religious leaders in Akropong

The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has embarked on a nationwide regional tour, starting with the Eastern Region on Monday, April 29.

On what is expected to be a busy day in the Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia the day with a breakfast meeting with religious leaders in Akropong.

The well-attended event saw Christian leaders from all denominations represented, as well as the regional Chief Imam and other Muslim clerics in the region.

Dr. Addressing the religious leaders, Bawumia said he decided to launch the regional campaign tour with religious leaders because of his belief in seeking the grace of God in everything he does.

“I made this decision because of my faith in the Lord. If you follow the Lord, all other things will follow.”

“With all humility, I am here today to present myself to you, first as a standard-bearer and presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party, and also to share with you my vision,” he said.

“Thirdly, I am here to seek your support and that of Ghanaians as I seek to lead Ghana.”
