Girl ‘sexually assaulted’ as police hunt for ‘attacker’

Police have launched an investigation after a girl was sexually assaulted in Warwickshire. It happened as she walked along Prospect Road near Redland Park in Leamington.

Detectives have described the suspect as a young man with short black hair and approximately 6 feet tall. Warwickshire Police said he was wearing a green jacket at the time of the incident.



Officers said the incident happened around 8.45am on Friday (April 19). Anyone with information is urged to contact Warwickshire Police

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “If anyone who was near that area on the morning of Friday April 19 saw anyone acting strangely or suspiciously, please contact us as soon as possible quoting incident 77 of 25 April.

“If you have been a victim of sexual assault or harassment, please tell us as soon as possible. Your protection is our priority, we take every report seriously and will always investigate.”
