One death after fire in Florence residence

A person was found dead Sunday in a house that caught fire in the Florence area of Los Angeles.

The fire at a home at 136 E. 71st St. was reported Sunday at 6:18 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

Firefighters contained the flames to one room in the house, Humphrey said.
