Deaths in Limerick: Sunday April 28, 2024

The deaths have occurred of Thomas (Tom) P. Toomey, Lynwood, Ballyclough, Castletroy, Limerick and formerly of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford, late historian and late South Liberties GAA.

April 27, 2024, peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Kathleen. Much loved father of Eimear, Michael and Elaine. Beloved grandfather of Cara. Sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law Andrew and Conor, daughter-in-law Jennifer, sisters Elizabeth and Mary, nieces Susan and Mary Ellen, great-nephew Dylan, relatives and friends.

Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Tuesday evening (April 30) from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral arrival at St. Mary Magdelene Church, Monaleen on Wednesday (May 1) for the Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial at Bunratty Cemetery.

The deaths have occurred of Michael McKeon, College Park, Newbridge, Co Kildare, the late Glin, Co. Limerick and the retired Chief Inspector of An Garda Síochána.

April 28, 2024 (peacefully) after a short illness under the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Naas Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving children Garry, Carina and Vivian, daughter-in-law Carol, sons-in-law Martin and Ollie, grandchildren Aisling, Eoin, Shauna, Aoife, Ciara, Olivia, Pierce and Stephen, great-grandchildren Jack and Everly, brother-in-law Tony Keys, sisters-in-law Norma McKeon and Mary Keys, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbors and friends.

May Michael rest in peace

The death has occurred of Bernadette Kennedy (nee Daly), Garryellen, Fedamore, Limerick.

April 27, 2024, peacefully under the wonderful care of all the staff at the Treaty Ward of St Camillus Hospital, Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Michael and mother-in-law of the late Patrick.

Deeply mourned by her grieving daughter Mary (Russell), sons Patrick, Tom, Michael, Bobby and Connor, daughters-in-law Jill, Michelle, Elaine, Ailish and Treasa, adoring grandchildren, sister-in-law Pauline, nephews, nieces, relatives, dear neighbors and her many friends.

Rest in peace

Resting next Monday evening, April 29, at St John the Baptist Church, Fedamore from 6 o’clock with evening prayers at 8 o’clock.

Funeral on Tuesday at 11am.

Burial followed in St Mary’s Church Cemetery, Meanus.
