Tourist tax – Full list of destinations as Tenerife threatens to tax British travellers

The Canary Islands have been in the news recently due to anti-tourism sentiment from locals and a tourist tax could be introduced for British travellers.

Protests have erupted in Tenerife, with graffiti telling British tourists to ‘go home’ appearing in several locations.
