Toronto police have laid murder charges after a man fell from a downtown balcony

Toronto police say they have charged a local man with manslaughter after a man fell from a downtown balcony earlier this week.

They say officers were called to a building in the area of ​​Church Street and Shuter Street late Wednesday night.

They say 38-year-old Ryan Williams fell from a balcony and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police did not share details about what led to Williams’ death, but said today that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

The suspect had to appear in court on Saturday morning.

Police say they are also continuing to search for two men and a woman who they describe as persons of interest in the case.
