Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister says PDM-2 initiative should boost Sharif family’s economic fortunes

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed skepticism over the potential economic benefits of the PDM-2 alliance, suggesting that it would primarily serve to strengthen the Sharif family’s financial interests rather than contribute to the overall prosperity of the nation.

In a separate development, the proceedings in the Audio Leaks case involving Prime Minister Gandapur were conducted in the district and sessions courts of Islamabad. After his appearance in the court, Prime Minister Gandapur was allowed to leave by Justice Abdul Ghafoor Kakar for the additional hearing after completing his presence.

Although the charges were expected to be filed during the hearing, the court decided to postpone the charges until May 25, according to the statement from the legal representatives involved in the case.

It is to be noted that a case has been filed against Chief Minister Gandapur at Golra police station, adding another layer of legal complexity to his current situation.

Speaking to the press outside the courthouse, Prime Minister Gandapur reiterated his doubts about the effectiveness of the PDM-2 experiment, emphasizing his belief that while the Sharif family’s economic fortunes might improve, such gains would not necessarily translate in broader economic prosperity for Pakistan.

In the midst of these proceedings, a journalist questioned Prime Minister Gandapur about the alleged disagreement between Mohsin Naqvi and Shehbaz Sharif. In response, Prime Minister Gandapur dismissed the demand and suggested that concerned parties should be consulted directly to determine the veracity of any disagreements.
