Mindtrot Technologies is launching a new technology platform for senior living service providers

New Delhi: HealthTech Startup, Mindtrot Technologies, a developer of comprehensive technology platforms for home and eldercare, has launched a new solution aimed at improving services for providers in the senior living sector, with a focus on supportive care and hospice services.
Assisted living is designed for relatively healthy seniors who need some help with daily tasks, while hospice care is designed for terminally ill individuals to provide pain relief and compassionate end-of-life care.
Discussing the current market dynamics, Mr. Indranil Nath, CEO and Co-Founder, Mindtrot Technologies said, “The assisted living market in India is undergoing significant changes due to changing family structures and the increase in the number of elderly people. There is a noticeable lack of technology to growth of service providers in this sector.”
The company’s “CarePilot” platform, originally developed for home care, has now been expanded to include features such as patient and room management, inventory management and care delivery. It also offers financial modules for billing and reconciliations, complemented by analytical support to help service providers manage their operations more effectively. The platform enables participation from patients’ families, allowing them to be more involved in care decisions and management in a connected ecosystem supported by technology.

The senior housing industry includes several types of facilities designed to promote the independence and social engagement of older adults, ranging from independent living communities to continuing care and retirement communities.
According to a CBRE report, the projected demand for senior living facilities in India could reach 1 million units by 2024-25, with potential growth to 2.5 million within the next decade. Currently, India’s market penetration, with just 18,000 units, is just 1%, which is significantly lower than countries like the UK, Australia and the US.
Mindtrot Technologies’ expansion into this sector represents a strategic move, with the aim of better serving the specific needs of India’s aging population and service providers through its HealthTech solutions.
