Two wind farm developments delivering benefits to Lanarkshire businesses

Lanarkshire businesses are being invited to a drop-in event to hear about the benefits of local energy development.

Scottish Power is building a 14 turbine wind farm at Hagshaw Hill and a 21 turbine wind farm at Cumberhead Forest, both projects close to the village of Douglas.

The company wants to maximize the opportunities for local businesses to benefit from this and is keen to hear from those offering related services such as plant hire, accommodation, site staffing and earthworks, as well as other construction related services.

Scottish Power is inviting local Lanarkshire businesses to attend a drop-in session next week where they can meet the nominated infrastructure contractor and representatives from the Scottish Power Renewables Construction Team.

The event will be held at Hollandbush Golf Club in Lesmahagow next Wednesday (April 24) from 2pm to 6pm.
